Northwest Tech Lady Mavs soccer announces schedule
The Northwest Kansas Technical College Lady Mavericks soccer program will open their season August 30th at home versus Northeastern Junior College.
Head Coach Danny Main will return for his third season with Northwest Tech, and says he's eager to get all the ladies to campus to begin training.
"We have some solid players returning and we look forward to trying to gel the incoming freshman with those returning sophomores," Main said. "That's always key, is to find our identity early in the year and build momentum towards October and carry that into November. We feel confident we're going to post the best Lady Mavericks season in program history."
This season will feature the first ever Jayhawk Conference campaign for women's soccer, making every game critical.
"Only the top four teams from each division will make the postseason, so the race to get one of those top four seeds is on from early in the season," Main said.
Players are to report to campus no later than July 31st with training camp beginning August 1st.
