The goalkeepers Camryn Laberteaux (who played the first half) & Chloe Bailey (2nd half) weren't really tested but were more like sweepers and played well with their feet.

Coach Carroll said after the game "The girls played well today, I am very happy and proud of them. Today was a great day to choose to experiment with some tactics for later on in the season and those tactics seemed to work. The girls took on board what my coaching staff had to say when they scouted GCCC and shut their play down as well as attacked the weak spots that my assistant Adam had highlighted".

The Lady Mavericks will host a doubleheader against Cloud County Community College on September 12th at the Lutters Field located in Goodland, KS. The women's game will start at 2 p.m. followed by the men's at 4 p.m.
