NWKTC Men's Wrestling defeats Cloud Community College

GOODLAND, KS- The Northwest Tech had their first Jayhawk Conference dual win of the season tonight against Cloud Community College by a score of 42-12.  The Mavs are now 3-0 against NJCAA competition and 1-0 against Jayhawk Conference foes.

The Mavericks won 8 of the 10 bouts in the dual and 5 of the 7 where Cloud actually fielded a wrestler and handed Cloud their first ever conference loss.  

 Casey Hand got his first career pin in the dual sticking Hosteen Smith in just over a minute.  Odgerel "Odgi" Batkhishig and Tsogtbayar "Buka" Tserendagua also had first period pins for the Tech with Tate Withington, Munkhbat Bat-Erdene, Austin Hernandez, Joseph White and Caleb Mendez also recorded wins in a convincing victory for the tech.

The Mavs return to action Friday night against Concordia who is ranked in the top 20 in the last NAIA poll before ending the semester Saturday at the Doane Open.
