Men's Basketball Lose to Coffeyville

Northwest Tech Men's Basketball fell to Coffeyville Community College at home on Saturday, 66-81.

Coffeyville got out to a quick start, scoring 12 unanswered points. The Mavericks then spent the rest of the half trying to recover those points, with the first half ending, 31-42.

In the second half, the Mavs continued to struggle scoring, finishing the game with a 30% field goal percentage and making only 1 of 14 3-point attempts. Apart from the lack of scoring, Tech also struggled to hold on to the ball throughout the game, as they had over twenty turnovers. The one factor that kept the game competitive was free throws. The Mavs shot 45 free throws on the game, although Coffeyville also shot numerous free throws (30), so there were a lot of fouls called both ways.

Northwest Tech's next game will be at Barton Community College on Wednesday.
