Lady Mavericks Fall to Pratt on Sophomore Day

On Monday, the Lady Mavs closed out this season's home games against the Pratt Beavers on Sophomore Day.

In game one, the Lady Mavs were not able to keep up with the seventeen runs the Beavers were able to score on twelve hits. The Lady Mavs were only able to score two runs on their three hits. Lady Mavs pitchers Cheylene Valdez-Asato and Victoria James were able to gather up seven strikeouts between the two of them. In game two, the Lady Mavs were able to score four more runs than in the first on a total of six hits. However, they were not able to keep up with the Beavers and their twenty-five runs.

While the Lady Mavs fell in their last home series of the season, they were able to celebrate sophomores Valadean Jones, Cheylene Valdez-Asato, Lauryn Reyes, and Demi Vera for their accomplishments as student-athletes at Northwest Tech.

Northwest Tech Softball will conclude their season with one last doubleheader this weekend at Pratt Community College.
