Northwest Tech Wrestling releases 2016-17 Schedule

The Northwest Tech Maverick wrestling team led by Head Coach Mike Sebaaly is set to kick-off the 2016-17 season. Coach Sebaaly enters his third season at the helm of the Mavericks and is looking to have another successful season. The Mavericks are coming off the most impressive season in the history of the program and are looking to build on their success.

The Mavericks begin their season hosting the Maverick Scrimmage here in beautiful Goodland, Kansas. The scrimmage will allow Mavericks the opportunity to compete in front of their home crowd, with the best wrestlers in the nation, fellow Mavericks.

The Mavericks will start their season with six road trips before coming home to host Wentworth Military College on Friday, December 2nd. The first test of the year will be at the hands of Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, Texas slated for November 1st.

The Mavericks will host four regular season home events and have comprised a schedule of NJCAA, NCAA DI, DII, and NAIA competitors. "I am super excited about the schedule we have this season. We have competition early against NCAA DI and DII schools. We are also competing against the top NAIA wrestling programs in the nation throughout our season as well. The Midwest Duals and National Duals will host most of the top Junior Colleges in the country and this will help our guys tremendously at they prepare for regional and national tournaments," said Sebaaly.

All wrestlers have reported to campus and have begun their classes. Official practice begins October 1st.
