Bio

Holly is a native of Scott City, Kansas where she graduated in 2014. She went to Fort Hays State University where she earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Athletic Training in the spring of 2018. During her 4 years of being an athletic training student, she was assigned to nearly every sport on campus including wrestling, volleyball, men’s soccer, men’s basketball, baseball, softball, and football where she traveled with the team to earn the first MIAA Conference Championship in program history in the fall of 2017. As being assigned to these teams she was entrusted with the responsibility of screening and evaluating injuries and conditions, creating rehabilitative programs and exercises, and helping to prevent injuries.  

 

In the summer of 2018, she was licensed and certified as an Athletic Trainer in the state of Kansas. She was privileged to accept the position as the Head Athletic Trainer at Northwest Kansas Technical College where she is in charge of all sports including cross country, basketball, wrestling, track and field, softball, and shooting sports.  She is also a part-time trainer for Goodland High School for their various sports and also oversees a majority of the high school tournaments hosted by GHS.

Holly has earned her International Sports Science Association certification in personal training, sports nutrition, and strength and conditioning. She also has a certification as a performance enhancement specialist from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She uses these certifications and knowledge to help athletes at NWKTC.

 

Holly has also worked with Team USA as a rotation at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO in February and October of 2022 & March of 2023. She has worked with Team USA sprint cycling, boxing, swimming, and wrestling.
