Lady Mavericks defeat Panthers of Neosho

The Women's basketball team notched a win on Monday night versus the Neosho Panthers by a score of 79-62, without their leading scorer Lauryn Vieira, who was out due to an injury. The Mavericks got out to an early 1st quarter lead 24-12 and would not let the Panthers battle back throughout the game.

The Mavericks were led by a trio of double-digit scorers; Chloe Andrew (28) Alonna-Harvey Williams (22) and Moniek Meeringa (16). As a team, the Mavericks would shoot 45% from the field along with 32% from beyond the arc. They also outrebounded the Panthers 39-30 and held them to 31% shooting from the field.

The Mavericks will travel down to Liberal, Kansas to take on the Lady Saints of Seward County. Tip-off is set for 5:00 pm mountain time.
