Mavericks Fall to Lady Saints
Feb 18, 2021

The Lady Mavericks faced a tough opponent last night in the Max Jones Field House after a crazy reschedule between themselves and the Seward County Saints. The Mavericks were originally scheduled to play Neosho County, but due to Health and Safety Concerns the game was postponed and rescheduled for a later date. Seward County also faced issues as well due to the weather that most of the state was dealing with. Coach Kimball along with Athletic Director Kling, contacted Seward the night before and got the game scheduled.

The Lady Saints went out and got an early lead, and at the end of the first quarter they were ahead 19-9. The Mavericks made a run in the second quarter, cutting the deficit to 22-25, but then would trail at halftime 25-43. The Lady Saints would ultimately control the second half even though the Mavericks were only outscored by 3 points. The Mavericks were lead by Chloe Andrew with 23 points and 4 rebounds, along with Aminata Seck, who contributed 16 points to go along with her 16 rebounds.

The Mavericks (4-2) will face off against the #13 ranked Butler Grizzlies(6-0), Saturday morning with an early tip-off at 10:30MST.
