Placing 4th overall for the Mavericks was Kabelo Maja, with a time of (24:43.62). Finishing next was Lucky Maila in 12th with a time of (26:08.08). Daniel Cornelissen and Ronin Rybnika finished 23rd and 24th with times of (26:43.27) and (26:47.87). Sibonokuhle Thwala placed 41st, rounding out the scoring, with a time of (27:37.64).

Also competing for the Mavericks was Edgar Kosgei with a time of (29:27.96) and Denis Kibet with a time of (29:52.58).

Kabelo Maja and Lucky Maila were also named to the All-Region Team for their performances.

"The team performance was better than I expected," commented Coach Sambu. "Some of my runners were injured, including Sibo, who I almost took out two days before the race because of his groin injury, but I didn't have any other option but to allow him to race. The weather also affected them due to the cold. The results could be different if everyone were healthy, but I am pleased overall with the way the team performed despite the cold weather and injuries."

Cross Country will now have two weeks off as they prepare for the NJCAA Cross Country and Half-Marathon Championships on November 11th in Huntsville, Alabama.
