Women's Basketball hires Gloria Mulumba
Gloria Mulumba was born and raised in Helsinki, Finland. She earned her Masters degree in Education with an emphasis in Athletic Administration at Central Methodist University, where she served as a Graduate Assistant. After a very successful senior year at CMU with an overall record of 32-2, Mulumba remained at Central, working in the athletic department alongside the Women's Basketball and Wrestling teams. Gloria is very familiar with the field of teams, having played for colleges such as Otero Junior College, Arizona Western College, and the University of Sioux Falls. Mulumba earned recognitions as a player during her career as All-Conference, All-Region 1, and division 1 first-team honors.
Mulumba has also represented her country on the national stage, competing overseas. During the summer, Gloria has dedicated most of her time to youth basketball camps in Missouri and back in her hometown.
"I'm very excited to join the Northwest Tech Women's Basketball program," commented Coach Mulumba. "I look forward to being able to help Coach Kassongo lead the Lady Mavericks and make a difference this upcoming season."
