New Coaching Staff and Athletes make 2014-2015 an Exciting Season for Men's Wrestling

Northwest Tech is eager to announce the 2014-2015 men's wrestling team. With head coach, Mike Sebaaly, and his two assistants, Butch Smith and Tanner Keck, the coaching staff is new and ready for a fresh Maverick wrestling season. The team is made up of 30 athletes from 14 different states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, and Texas.

There are quite a few characteristics that make this year's wrestling team stand out. From Rhode Island, Tyler Mello, is furthest from home out of all his teammates. Lane Frost, originally from New York, is a wrestling state champion. The team also includes returning national qualifier Sebastian Sanchez, who will be a sophomore this year. There are also over 20 state qualifiers coming in, and of those, 15 placed at state.

The numbers surrounding this year's team point toward success. A new coaching staff, new wrestling facility, and new team, are about to come together to make history for the Northwest Tech wrestling program.
