Women's Wrestling Week 4 Recap

Women's Wrestling competed in two tournaments last weekend. First, they traveled to Crete, Nebraska, on Saturday, where they competed in the Women's Conner/Oppenheim Open. Then on Sunday, they traveled down to Fort Hays State, where they competed in the Bob Smith Women's Open.

Madison Daniels (109lbs)

Rosa Campos (123lbs)

Rosa Campos (123lbs)

  • Quarterfinal - Loss to Kira Bufford (Schreiner University) by Fall (1:22)
  • Cons. Round 1 - Loss to Rylie McCabe (Adams State) by Fall (1:17)

"Rosa Campos went 1-4 and wrestled very well," commented Coach Tate. "She has improved in each meet and is about to make a big leap in success. Madison Daniels went 0-4 in her first two college tournaments. She is adjusting to the intensity and skill at this level. I'm proud of them both for representing the college well."

 

Women's Wrestling's next competition will be at the Hastings Open on January 7th, in Hastings, Nebraska.
