Fort Hays Tech Northwest Athletic Facilities

Fort Hays Tech Northwest takes special pride in its athletic facilities and their contribution to the continued success of student-athletes.

WRESTLING

Dr. Guy E. Mills Athletic Center

Opened in February 2014, the Dr. Guy E. Mills Athletic and Academic Center serves as the practice facility for the men's and women's wrestling teams. It also holds locker rooms and an athletic training area complete with a sauna.

TRACK & FIELD

Goodland Community Track and Field 

Fort Hays Tech Northwest's Track and Field teams practice and compete at the Goodland Community Track, located in the college's own backyard, directly north of campus.

BASKETBALL & GENERAL ATHLETICS

Larry Keirns Fitness Center

The Larry Keirns Fitness Center, Northwest's on-campus fitness center includes a basketball court, locker rooms, and a weight room stocked with cardio equipment, weight machines, and free weights.

The Keirns Fitness Center serves as a practice facility for the basketball teams. Additionally, elective courses such as weight training are taught here.

SOFTBALL

Tiger Softball Complex

The Tiger Softball Complex is located on the south area of the campus.  It includes two NJCAA regulation softball fields, batting cages, and pitching bullpens.   These are used for both practice and competition for the softball team.

BASKETBALL

Max L. Jones Fieldhouse

The Tiger basketball teams play home games at the Max L. Jones Fieldhouse, located one block west of the Northwest Tech campus.

CROSS COUNTRY

Sugar Hills Golf Course

The Tiger Cross Country team utilizes the Sugar Hills Golf Course for practice and competition.
