
Indoor Track & Field Prepare for Nationals
Fort Hays Tech Northwest Track & Field had its send-offs on Wednesday morning as they prepare to head to Lubbock, Texas, for the NJCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships. The Tigers will send six athletes with a total of six events.
Sprints & Field Events
Mikela Coombs, a freshman from Kingston, Jamaica, will be competing in the women's 200-meter dash.
Middle & Long Distance
In the Middle and long-distance events, the Tigers qualified for Nationals in the Men's Distance Medley Relay. Those competing include Lucky Maila, a Sophmore from Pretoria, South Africa; Maciej Bachlaj, a freshman from Ozimek, Poland; Salisu Habibu, a freshman from Nigeria; and Sibonokuhle Thwala, a sophomore from Johannesburg, South Africa.
Carolyne Jepkosgi, a freshman from Eldoret, Kenya, will be competing in the Women's 3000-meter run.
Salisu Habibu will also be competing in the 800-meter run, and Sibonokuhle Thwala in the Mile and 3000-meter.
