FHNW Wrestling Duals Trinidad State

Fort Hays Tech Northwest men's and women's wrestling took on Trinidad State College in their first duals of the year. In the women's dual, Tech lost 5 to 44, having one win by Tech Fall and two losses by Fall and Decision, with the rest of the weights being forfeited. In the men's dual, the Tigers won 48 to 6, with a forfeit at 125 pounds. Tech would proceed to win their remaining matches with two Major Decisions, two Tech Falls, and three Falls, with Trinidad forfeiting at 184 and 285 pounds.

"The ladies wrestled hard and represented our college well," said Coach Tate. "Caxton did very well and Faith and Caroline lost hard fought matches. I saw a lot of improvement in their performances and am proud of how they competed."

"It was a great way to start the year," commented Head Coach Chris Guillot. "We want to score points and wrestle aggressively, and that's what we did. We're seeing improvement each and every match and we want to continue to grow throughout the season and peak at the end."
